Welcome

Welcome to Sacred Heart! We are so thrilled to have you joining our family. I have had the honor of serving as the Principal of Sacred Heart for the last ten years. I can tell you that this is the BEST school in the Siouxland area. Our teachers are dedicated, faith-filled examples for our students. The academic achievements of Sacred Heart students are outstanding. The small, caring environment will become a second home for your child.

Students start their day with prayer and reciting this Crusader Pledge:

We are Crusaders

We live our Faith

We grow in knowledge

We celebrate our diverse family

We serve God and our community

This pledge serves as the foundation to Sacred Heart’s school-wide behavior support system. We set high expectations for our students and they rise to the challenge. Students are honored weekly as the Crusader of the Week and each grade level selects a Crusader of the Month. Classroom teachers provide motivation for the students to be their best self.

Sacred Heart curriculum follows the Diocesan standards. The primary teachers create a solid math and reading foundation for the students. Secondary teachers challenge our students to think critically, problem solve, and create. We have amazing support systems in place for students who need remediation or enrichment through the MTSS process.

We celebrate mass once a week as a school community. The students participate in several service projects throughout the year. Students have the opportunity to go to adoration on Fridays, celebrate the month of the Rosary, participate in advent and lent retreats, and many more faith-filled activities.

We love having parents in our schools. The partnership between school and home is essential for student success. We ask that all volunteers complete a class and background check on virtus.org. My door is always open, please stop in or send me an email if you need anything. I look forward to seeing you in August!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kate Connealy, Principal
