Scholarships

We are pleased to offer nearly 60 merit scholarships to incoming and current Heelan students who demonstrate academic excellence, service and spirit.  Applications are listed below and are also available through the Heelan Guidance Center, Bob Geary, Director of Guidance. Key Bennett Irish Heritage Scholarship
Awarded to freshmen of Irish descent who show dedication to growing academically, spiritually and morally.

Dee Blatchford Memorial Science Award
Awarded to a senior to be showing high achievement in science.

Col. V. Thomas Considine Memorial Scholarship: Fine Arts
Awarded to a student who is involved in vocal or instrumental music.

Clement E. Duffy Scholarship
One year $2,000 scholarship awarded to an involved Bishop Heelan High School student.

LuVerne E. Duffy Full Tuition Four Year Scholarship
This four-year, full-tuition scholarship is available to one incoming freshman every four years. This scholarship will be available again in 2014. 

Jack and Margaret Gill Scholarship 
To incoming freshmen who show dedication to hard work and more.

Brian Goetz Memorial Scholarship
To incoming freshmen who show dedication to hard work and more

Brian Goetz Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to 2 current high school students who show dedication to hard work and meet other criteria.

Michael R. Kuehl Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a spirited sophomore or junior.

Lexie LaMere Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a student of Native American heritage who shows dedication to growing academically, spiritually and morally.

Fred Lennon Scholarship:
Awarded in spring to a junior boy meeting criteria.

Amy Graves Mace Service Scholarship
Awarded to an incoming freshman or current underclassman.

Carrie Mach Spirit of Life Scholarship
Awarded to a current freshman and junior student involved in community service

Father Alfred McCoy Memorial Scholarship Fund 
For promising freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors who show dedication to academics, activities and sound character. 

Roger and Della McCoy Family Scholarship
Awarded to an incoming freshman who show dedication to growing academically, spiritually and morally.

Mary Helen and Terence McElroy Memorial Music Scholarship
Awarded to a student involved or interested in music.

Norma Jean McGowan Music Scholarship
Awarded to a student involved in music.

Rose and Edward O’Kane Scholarship 
To incoming freshmen who show dedication to growing academically, spiritually and morally.

Ray O’Neill Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to an incoming freshman who shows dedication to growing academically, spiritually and morally.

Jon Olson Business Scholarship
Awarded to a student excelling in Heelan business classes

Catherine Birzle Education Scholarship
Awarded to high school students each year based on criteria.

Maurie Noonan Tomke Tuition Assistance Award:
